Phuket

We have actually been lucky enough to have been to Phuket twice in the last 14months! We love this place. The people there are so nice and willing to help even when they can't speak much english. Also it's a cheap place to go..... so if you're on a budget I think Thailand gives you the most for your money.... A different culture, it's far enough away to really feel like you're travelling, food and accommodation and imitation fashion is really really cheap, as well as island tours with cheeky tour guides that keep you well entertained! We did a trip with the boys last year and Wayne and Penny. This year we decided to do it alone.... and we enjoyed every minute of it :) We never felt sad about missing the boys, we just thought about them with some of the things we did and how much they would have enjoyed it! So a trip next year is already on the cards!! I think what helped leaving the boys behind was the fact that they were going on a holiday themselves to TASSIE and living it up with their cousins:)

This was the nicest beach we went to on Raya Island. The whitest sand and clearest blue/green water. Part of a day tour trip we went on

Snorkling was also part of this day trip also which we loved!

A cooking class was great fun to do. Our group included some french ladies which made us realise how much more difficult it is for them to communicate with the Thai people as they both try to speak in english when it is not a first language for both of them. Our aim is to learn a little of the Thai language before our next trip.

Pool access rooms were very handy and convienient

Pedicures, manicures, reflexology foot massages, thai massages(a must try!), oil massages.... and sooo cheap!

The major religion is Buddhism and we visited the popular temple (in Chalong) The have so much respect for their religion - I think it has a lot to say for the type of kind, happy, grateful people they are.

The night markets had an range of different foods which we were happy to try.....

Now back to work.... and more overtime so we can start saving again!
