Easter 2012

We had a great Easter this year. I had it off work as we usually go camping at this time of year. But decided we didn't really want to do that this year. It was lovely having the time off though to spend at home with Dan and the kids.... Friday we went to Terrigal Beach and had fish'n'chips while the boys used up some energy on their scooters and happy to pose for a few photo's.....

With Easter Bunny coming on Saturday night, the boys headed off for a egg hunt in the back yard. Again happy to pose for more photo's! Easter bunny (AKA mummy and daddy) was up early and at the break of dawn could hear the little boys giggling and chatting with Zeek telling his younger brother 'sssshhhhh you have to be quiet or the Easter bunny won't leave us any Easter eggs!' At the beginning of the hunt, Oli wasn't quite sure what was going on and Zeek was raking up the eggs..... by the end though he figured if he stayed right in front of Zeek he could get all the bigger eggs and it evened out in the end.

Easter Monday came. After all the whether forecasts saying it would be raining the whole weekend, to 80% chance of rain Good Friday - down to 10% - to having the most beautiful cloud free day. Then 90% chance of rain on Monday, again down to 10% chance - to having another absolutely perfect day. Well a perfect day for the zoo!

After one incident on the way down where we discovered Oli should not play games on an iPhone for long periods in a moving vehicle - the day turned out the best day ever!! When asked what was their favourite part Oli straight away said 'the bird show' and Zeek said 'the kangaroos' which we didn't even end up going to see..... I didn't get it either, except he saw the picture of a kangaroo on the map, so maybe that's where that came from??!

In between all the fun and chocolate, we reminded the boys of the reasons we celebrate Easter. When we would then ask Zeek what Easter is really about, he would say 'it's about a good boy(Jesus), who died, then came back to life'! - well he's getting there :)
