Gold Coast

It's always a nice idea to travel north this time of year to the warmer weather. So this year we did! And it was beautiful.

We stayed at the Q1 - the tallest residential building in the world..... at the moment anyway. When we booked we thought we were only staying on the 25th floor, but when we got there we somehow ended up on the 50th.... and it was amazing! The view of the ocean was awesome, and we saw whales going past every day.... Dan says he saw a shark, but I don't know, I think it was just an excuse to not go swimming in the ocean.

Nathan and Natalie came down for the weekend and stayed right near us so we got to spend a bit of time with them which was nice. We also went to a theme park with them.... so movie world it was! Dan was quite brave.... going on all the rides but the new Batman ride that shoots you up in the air and brings you straight back down just as fast. He says he doesn't like not seeing where he's going.... but really he's just a wuss!


Also while we were away, Zeek became quite confident with his walking. He has been taking a few steps here and there for a while now but still prefering to crawl. Now walking is the only thing to do and can now stand from sitting, not needing to crawl to the furniture to be able to pull himself up!

And here he is trying to run away from Grandad.... I think he was getting a bit confident with his Batman suit on! He hasn't tried flying yet though thank goodness!

Already can't wait to go back again!
